Problem Solving in Wellness

Our class earned a game day for demonstrating positive behavior in Wellness!

They were challenged to work in their table teams to build a tower in six minutes using only ten pieces of raw spaghetti and ten mini marshmallows.

We also talked about leaders and followers and using a kind voice and words.

SNOW AGAIN! Change in DISMISSAL for 2-17

Elsa is at is again!

Please review the change in dismissal procedures for Monday, February 17, 2014.

Drive Safe!

Current weather forecasts predict a strong likelihood that heavy snowfall will create hazardous travel conditions today.  Our first priority is the safety of your child, so we will be modifying our dismissal process for Batavia Public Schools today.

Parents should be aware that some students may arrive home earlier than usual.

Batavia High School students will be dismissed at 1:15 PM. This is intended to prevent our teen drivers from driving in heavy snow. All after-school activities are cancelled.

Rotolo Middle School students will be dismissed at 2:15 PM.  This should get students home in a timely fashion due to anticipated slow and snowy street conditions and assist in having buses ready for our elementary schools.  For those students not taking a bus, supervision will be provided.

We expect that buses will be leaving elementary schools at 3:15 PM to allow for additional travel time. For those students not taking a bus, supervision will be provided.

Please note that this will NOT change our dismissal procedures for all other students at Grace McWayne.
Students who are not riding the bus today will be dismissed at 3:30pm as usual.

As always, you should make decisions in the best interest of your child. Please communicate with your child's school if you will be making other arrangements.
