How do we make sounds?

We have been learning all sounds this week in science. We learned that a sound is made when something makes a vibration.

We are getting Chromebooks!

Today we received our Chromebooks because our tablets are longer working with internet. Whew... that was a process but we are slowly adjusting!

If you would like to send in a mouse for your child to use please feel free to do so! It can be wired or wireless and please label it with your name! Thanks for your support as always!! ❤️

A Peak Into Our Flexible Seating....

Students are allowed to sit wherever they would like throughout the day. They can sit wherever they are comfortable.

Some students prefer to stand while they are working!

Some like to sit by themselves....

We LOVE our ball chairs! Thanks Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence!

Exercise balls are GREAT for core stability!

Our couch is comfy and cozy!

I love this one!

Stools are a great option too!

Some students also still prefer the regular school chairs.

Our low table and sitting on the floor is great too!

Whole group instruction looks different too!

The students can sit wherever their body feels like it NEEDS too. We talked a lot about needs and wants. If your body can sit on the rug then you can sit on the rug. If your body has a need to sit somewhere else, then you can sit somewhere else! It all works for us!

I have found that the students' behavior has improved greatly with flexible seating, especially during instruction. I am no longer constantly asking students to stop moving on the rug or in their seats because now they are comfortable!
