Pumpkin Math and Literacy!

We had so much fun measuring, counting and comparing with our pumpkins brought back from Kuiper's Farm!

We used strings to estimated the circumference with strings.  Was yours: too short, too long, or just right?

Our Trip to Kuiper's Farm!

Our class had a cold, rainy and AWESOME time at Kuiper's Farm!

Each student was able to choose their own pumpkin to take home!

We brought the pumpkins to school and used them for our math lesson.  The students really loved working with their very own pumpkins!  We also brought 2 larger pumpkins back to school so we could compare and contrast them using a Venn Diagram.  The students showed some awesome thinking about their pumpkins!
