Bells of Grace by 1V

Here is 1V's nearly complete Bell of Grace to be placed on Grace McWayne's tree on the Batavia Riverwalk Christmas Tree Lane for Batavia's Festival of Lights! 

The celebration takes place on Dec. 1! There will even be a visit from Santa himself!

Equal Sign Projects

The students were really working hard to understand the meaning of the equal sign.  We worked on a project to help them understand the concept in a more real-world, concrete way.  

We used objects from our classroom, equal signs the students hand made themselves, the Camera App on the iPad and to finish it off, an app called Pic Collage!

This is our first attempt at documenting our work with the camera app on the iPad!

The Task:  

work with their group to:

solve the equations, then sort the equations by whether or not the equations on the cards are True or False

They then documented their sort with the iPad so their teacher could check their groups' work!
